Description:
Liseta Hatika is a master tailor and stylist with over two decades of experience in preserving and reconstructing traditional GjirokastĂ«r costumes. Together with her husband, Aurel Hatika, she manages the artisan shops “Rrobaqepesi – Atelie Lizeta” and “ArbĂ«ror Lizeta” in the old bazaar of GjirokastĂ«r. Their collaborative efforts have been instrumental in reviving the intricate designs and craftsmanship of southern Albanian attire.

Highlights:

  • Has created over 50 traditional costumes from southern Albania, with 28 exhibited in the museum zone of GjirokastĂ«r.
  • Participated in national and international fairs, receiving recognition from the Ministry of Culture.
  • Known for reconstructing traditional clothing such as the "Pirpiri" costume and that of Ali PashĂ« Tepelena.
  • Donated a collection of folk costumes to the Municipality of GjirokastĂ«r, showcasing her commitment to cultural preservation.
